Cancer is a complex disease that affects not only the patient but also the family and other caregivers. At Front Range Cancer Specialists, we believe that it is very important to address the psychosocial aspects of a cancer diagnosis. Numerous support groups and financial resources are available for patients and persons affected by cancer in Northern Colorado. We are pleased to recommend the following groups:
FRCS General Cancer Support Group
The FRCS general support group that provides support to anyone who has or is walking a cancer journey – a patient, caregiver, family member, or friend. Anyone and everyone can attend.
The group will be led by Amy Wing, AOCN, FNP-C. The majority of the sessions will be discussion groups with occasional guest speakers about various topics (i.e. nutrition, exercise, vitamins, kids, reliable resources, etc). The support group is what the participants want it to be!
