Fort Collins Thanksgiving Day Race

The Engage in life team from Poudre Valley Hospital put together a wonderful Thanksgiving Day event where all proceeds go to the PVH foundation and will benefit the proposed Fort Collins Cancer Center.

The event got off to an fun and energetic start with the Gobble Gobble Kids race. Then the serious runners warmed up. This race is the third most popular running race in Northern Colorado, an this year it was won by Aucencio Martinez of Alamosa in 18 minutes, 52.8 seconds and the fastest female was Adriana Nelson of Fort Collins who crossed the finish line in 21:58.6.

Owe own Dr. James Moore and the resident therapy dog Buddy choose the more social option of walking the 4 mile route while chatting to some of the 3390 participants. This was a record attendance for this annual event, up from last years 3,000 participants.
